Living in the Poconos!

There are pros and cons to any area you might call home but the Poconos certainly can be unique. The biggest pro in my opinion are all four seasons, but that is a 50/50  split for the folks aroud here, mainly those chilly winters can have people wishing for summer. But if you find hobbies during those cold months like I have with skiing and snowboarding(yes both) shoveling out the car for a short drive to the mountain isn't so bad. We are in our 2025 fall season now. The favorite for me, but you really feel every season here. They always come and go a little to quick, wishing it was warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. That is my simple pro AND con for the poconos. I see all 4 seasons and a cold winter a big pro with a bonus, but living here long enough I know there are plenty of people here living over 2 decades that don't enjoy it.
